The main aim of the contribution is to analyse the utilization of computing (digital resources and tools) in the philosophical research. Generally, it deals with the methodology of the utilization of computing processes in the philosophical research; and it clarifies its fundamental methodological assumptions. In terms of the scientific disciplines, it's located at the intersection of philosophy and digital humanities. The computing is presented here as a method as well as a topic. It consists of the four particular objectives – to reconstruct the process of philosophical research in general; to map the existing applications of computing (digital resources and tools) in the philosophical research; to identify and categorize the applications of computing in the respective phases of the philosophical research; to define the basic methodological assumptions, benefits and threats of the utilization of computing in the practice of philosophical research. The primary purpose of the contribution is to draw attention to the neglected and insufficient utilization of computing processes in the traditional philosophical research; and to emphasize the enhancement of traditional philosophical research by means of the computing processes.
